This cassette was one that I played over and over. It was new, yet the music was like something that had been a part of me or familiar in some way. It was gripping, exciting, emotional and raw. It was fantastic. The texture and color in this painting are my attempt to bring this piece of nostalgia back to life beyond the digital realm where music lives today. Cassettes were physical, passed on and shared artifacts of a special period of time.
